5.Sustainability analysis of polygeneration systemsbased on emergy theory

Abstract:
In order to address the important impacts of biomass energy,cogeneration and carbon capture and storage (CCS)technologies for the sustainable development of the chemical industry,a model of biomasscoal cogasificationFischerTropsch liquidelectricitypolygeneration system was constructed. The efficiency of the system with / without CCS in terms of material conversion and energy utilization was calculated and analyzed. Secondly,the environmental friendliness and sustainability of the system were comprehensively evaluated using emergy analysis method. The results show that the best sustainability is achieved with a biomass ratio of 80% for thepolygenration system with CCS and 60% for the PGP system without CCS.
