Abstract:
Pt-Pr 6 O 11 / G and Pt-Sm 2 O 3 / G catalysts ( G: graphene) were prepared by microwave synthesis. It not only reduces the a-mount of Pt,but also improves the dispersion and catalytic performance of the catalyst. TEM test shows that the two groups of catalystswith Rare Earth had very high dispersion and more uniform distribution of catalyst particles. The electrochemical tests show that the cat-alytic performance is the best when the ratio of Pt to Rare Earth oxides is 1∶ 1,and the electrochemical surface areas are 42. 6 m 2 / gand 44. 01 m 2 / g,respectively. The peak current densities are 764. 28 mA·cm - 2 and 800. 42 mA·cm - 2 ,respectively. Steady-statecurrent densities are 201. 88 mA · cm - 2 and 193. 75 mA · cm - 2 ,respectively. The catalytic performance of Pt-Pr 6 O 11 / G andPt-Sm 2 O 3 / G is 2. 64 times and 2. 76 times higher than that of commercial Pt / C,respectively.
