Abstract:

The high-carbon low-alloy wear-resistant steel samples were homogenized annealed at different temperatures by using a high-box-type resistance furnace of model SX13-BYL,and the microstructure, grain size and shape of precipitates of the samples were ob-served by using metallographic and scanning electron microscope, and the mechanical properties of the samples were measured by usinga hardness tester and an impact testing machine. The effects of different temperatures of homogenizedaling on the microstructure,car-bide morphology, grain size and mechanical properties of the steel were investigated. The experimental results show that themicrostruc-ture of the experimental steel is a small of P F carbide at different temperatures of annealing, the quantity of F increases and the quanti-ty of carbide decreases with the increase of the annealing temperature, and carbide particles become smaller at the same time; the grainsize of austenite increases from 8. 5 grade at 950 °C annealing to. 5 grade at 1 150 °C annealing; both the hardness and the impacttoughness in the mechanical properties decrease, the average hardness value decreases from 9 HRC to 27. 1 HRC when the annealingtemperature increases from 950 °C to 1 150 °C ,and the average work decreases from 73. 59 J / cm 2 to 47. 01 J / cm 2 .
