9.Research and application of automatic paving of surface tiles based on BIM and PSO

Abstract:

To address the issues of low efficiency and high material waste in layout of surface tiles, as well as the shortcomings of existing BIM technologies in optimizing automatic layout of irregular surface tiles, this study investigates the rapid optimization of tiles layout and automatic tiles arrangement for irregular surfaces using a visualization program based on Dynamo and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) algorithm. The results indicate that the combination of Dynamo and PSO can improve the automatic layout of tiles and model visualization for irregular surfaces.Additionally, it significantly reduces tile waste in the automatic layout process, with the overall tiles loss rate in case applications falling below 3.5%.
